Jay Wince - President/Head Brewer
In the early 1990’s, Jay became interested in the craft beer movement and started homebrewing in 1995. He became seriously involved in small
scale brewing in 2002. Since then Jay has received more than 40 awards for his beer at competitions locally and across the nation, even winning
medals in the prestigious National Homebrew Competition in 2003 and 2005.
Jay is a prominent member of the central Ohio homebrewing community and a long time member of the American Homebrewers Association. A native of
Zanesville, Jay has spent many hours researching the idea to open a brewpub in Zanesville and is excited about serving the community a fresh,
locally brewed product.
He is also employed by the New Bakery Company of Ohio, Inc. and has attained the status of ‘Certified Baker’ from the American Institute of
Baking in Manhattan, Kansas.
Lori Wince - Vice President/Assistant Brewer
Lori has been involved in the news media since graduating from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in
English in 1989. A native of Newark, she came to Zanesville after marrying Jay in 1989. She wrote for the Times Recorder in Zanesville for almost
nine years and appeared on two local radio stations before taking a job with ThisWeek Newspapers in 1999. She currently works in Licking County
writing for ThisWeek.
Lori has enjoyed fine craft-brewed beer for many years and has visited many breweries and brewpubs in the past 18 years. She became actively
involved in homebrewing in 2004 and is a member of the American Homebrewers Association. Lori has worked at many beer events during the
last 10 years, gaining knowledge about different styles of beer and the best ways to serve people. She will work with local vendors to help
promote Weasel Boy products and work special promotions and events as needed.
