Waves de Aché is the journey of a couple Ohio boys raised on rock and hip-hop, who studied jazz and then fell in love with the music of Cuba. Imagine if Snarky Puppy had been born from a salsa band. Whether performing as a piano/bass/drum trio or a six-piece band with horns, Waves De Aché takes the listener on a journey filled with sophisticated harmonies, deep grooves and raw energy.
Based out of Brooklyn, New York and sharing the stage with everyone from The Eagles and Lisa Fischer to Liza Anne, Peter Wise is building a name through his unique blend of introspective lyricism and modern soul. After releasing an EP in 2016 garnering attention from publications around the world and shows around the country, Wise returns with his full length album, Unattached.
“Not often a voice strikes the listener as one that fits the music and lyrics so impeccably, but Rego offers a jazzy delivery topped with polished musicianship, making for an inspirational indie anthem.” - Glide Magazine
Their mission is simple – everybody in the crowd is just as vital as the band.
Every time Groundhog Gravy takes the stage they consume on-lookers and compel their attention. Their charismatic stage performance inspires devotion and movement. They have learned to harness the energy of a crowd, make it swell like a puffer-fish and use it in such a way that all present can rejoice in its pleasure. It’s easy to forget that one is at a show when seeing this band, instead it just feels like dancing and grooving to music with a bunch of friends.
We are excited to welcome Joe Rollin Porter to the stage, coming from Cleveland, Ohio. Joe's music primarily consists of his own arrangements of traditional American folk songs, with a dose of early rural blues and an occasional dash of Celtic flavor as well.
The band’s infectious energy and musical interplay routinely attract listeners that are admittedly more accustomed to lyric-based music. With great melodic sensibilities, rhythmic experimentation and an accessible modern edge, the Dirk Quinn Band is jazz/funk improvisation at its most exciting!
