The Alex Schrock Trio could be described as a modern jazz outfit, but the influences are much more diverse; including Nujabes, Flying Lotus, Animals As Leaders, Leo Brouwer to Radiohead (and the list goes on). These influences are put in a musical environment where free flowing improvisation meets careful composition.
