Welcome to Autumn! As I write this Vice President and Assistant Brewer of Weasel Boy, Lori Wince, is in Denver, Colorado getting ready for the start of the sold out 2008 Great American Beer Festival! Weasel Boy will be competing this year in three catagories as well as exhibiting beers on the festival floor. Over 40,000 people are expected to attend the three day festival. Our German themed beers Wiesel Junge Kolsch and Das Frettchen Oktoberfest are getting great reviews. The Das Frettchen is literally flying out of the tower. We don't see these two sticking around long so be sure to stop in and have a pint or two before they are gone. We are working on recipes for three upcoming winter ales. We will be doing the 2008 version of Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout, introducing Super Genius Barleywine and also will be working up a spiced holiday ale. Stay tuned for details and release dates for these beers!
HALLOWEEN PARTY!! Friday October, 31st! Join us for our first ever Halloween event! Costumes will be encouraged and we will be awarding best costume honors for Best Male, Best Female and Best Couple! Also for the event we will be tapping a keg of 1 year old Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout and will have food available. Our very special musical guest for the evening will be 'Soul Simple'. Soul Simple packed the house for our Grand Opening event earlier this year! Doors open at 4pm with festivities beginning around 7pm. Entertainment will start at 10pm. Be sure not to miss it! Admission is FREE!

We have a new collection on the taproom walls in our revolving display of local artists. Works of local painters, photographers and other artists grace our walls in an ever changing display of shape and form. Featured now through September are the unique pottery tiles of local potter Dan Towning. His beautiful hanging wall tiles offer a fascinating look into the world of Raku pottery. Be sure to stop in and view his works and enjoy a beverage if you can.
Zanesville’s Fourth Street Alive events have concluded for the season but be sure to watch for Zanesville's premier street party in the spring of 2009!
