Weaselboy Brewing Company

UPDATED 7/4/08

Summer is here!!! And so is our 1st Anniversary Party!!!Saturday July, 12!!!

That's right. It's been one year since we fired the kettles at Weasel Boy and what a year it's been. To celebrate we're going to bring in some food, feature the silky smooth guitar sounds of local artist Mark Snider, and tap a special cask of Centennial dry hopped IPA. Mark will be playing his selection of classical and jazz guitar works from 8pm to 11pm. We'll tap the cask of IPA at 7pm and also have munchies available at 7pm as well. Stop on in for all the fun and be sure to wish everyone happy birthday as well!!

Our Blonde ale has been a great success and has literally poured out the door. The first batch disappeared over a week ago but we now have it back on tap for the 4th of July, and will be tapping a very special cask of Centennial dry hopped Blonde at 6pm. Don't miss it because it won't last long! Weather permitting we'll also be back downtown for 4th Street Alive on the 4th and watching the fireworks from our taprooms patio vantage point. It promises to be a fun weekend!

Come see Jason Allwood, Live at the Weasel on Saturday August 2nd!! Watch this space for upcoming details!!

On the taproom walls is our revolving display of local artists. Works from local painters, photographers and other forms of art will grace our walls in an ever changing display of shape and form. Featured through mid July is the art photography of Zanesville’s own Joe Clark. Stop in and experience ‘Light Standing Still’. All works are available for purchase unless noted and information and pricing is available from our staff.

Our busy summer schedule of events has started. The National Homebrew Conference took place recently in Cincinnati, Ohio. We were proud to take part in Pro Brewer Night on Thursday June 19 and to be one of 20 craft brewers to take part in the event. The 900+ attendees enjoyed a great selection of craft beer including Weasel Boy's Plaid Ferret Scottish, Dancing Ferret IPA, and River Mink Mild. It was a fantastic time!

Zanesville’s First Friday Celebration will include ‘4th Street Alive’ the first Friday of every month. ‘4th Street Alive’ is a street festival featuring live entertainment, food from Ditty’s Downtown Deli and Weasel Boy Beer on tap! Mark July 4th on your calendars and check out www.4thstreetalive.com for details.

Ohio Brew Week will take place in Athens, Ohio July 14-19, 2008. We will be featured in two pubs that week and will take part in the 'Boogie on the Bricks' event on Saturday July, 19. Check out www.ohiobrewweek.com for all the details and beer locations. With 76 beers from 23 of Ohio's craft breweries available and numerous other special events taking place, it promises to be a great week!

Later this Summer we are also planning to take part in Zanesville’s Blues Fest and Oktoberfest events, and the Columbus Microbrewery Festival held at the North Market in downtown Columbus. Stay tuned for details about these and other events as they become available!

Meanwhile, grab a pizza and come on in and enjoy our full line-up of fresh brewed craft beer served to you by our friendly staff. Cheers!

Our seasonal beers are bountiful at the moment. Our Ornery Otter Blonde has been a huge hit, Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout has made its encore appearance for the spring season so hurry in and try it because once it’s gone you won’t see it again until the leaves start to turn! We also have our Blackfooted Porter and a limited quantity of the Royskatt Amber remaining so be sure to watch our tap list for Low Beer Warning alerts.

Guest Tap: Flying Dog Garde Dog.

Check out the 'On Tap' page for our full line-up with descriptions of each beer.

Before July 15, 2007 the last commercial beer brewed in Zanesville Ohio was on November 18, 1918 by the Simon Linser Brewing Company. We are proud to revive the rich brewing heritage of our area!
